To give a short and simple synopsis of this book, Paul Sheldon, author of the Misery books, gets into a car crash but is rescued by his "number one" fan, who actually turns out to be a former psycho killer, who, after discovering the titular protagonist of the books is dead, she turns violent again. I really like this book because of it's thrilling plot, terrifying antagonist and great build-up. It has been turned into a movie starring award winning Kathy Bates as Annie Wilkes, the antagonist.
